Wonder by R.J. Palacios

Ten-year-old Auggie Pullman, who was born with extreme facial abnormalities and was not expected to survive, goes from being home-schooled to entering fifth grade at a private middle school in Manhattan, which entails enduring the taunts and fear of his classmates as he struggles to be seen as just another student.

  1. I thought the lessons taught in this book were really important, and I liked the precepts idea. The end was the best part for me. I didn't like how so many of the characters in the book were so concerned about being popular. I did like how the story was told from different points of view and you could really hear the character's voice in that chapter. ***
