Flying the Dragon by Natalie Dias Lorenzi
When Skye's cousin Hiroshi and his family move to Virginia from Japan, the cultural differences lead to misunderstandings and both children are unhappy at the changes in their lives--will flying the dragon kite finally bring them together?
This book took me a little while to get into, but then I really connected with Skye and Hiroshi. It was a great book dealing with all types of relationships. ***
I like it because the grandfather teaches how to make kites and fly them. And then have an better bond bewtween his grandfather and him before he ends up passing away Plus how he gets to meet the dragon and its very kalm and inspring to see kites flying on the sunset. ***
I liked this book because it gave you alot of japense words and they told you what the chinese words mean.Skye and hiroshi had the same felling because hiroshi was moving to wear sky lived and skye has to change just because her family from japen she even has to change how she talks.
I liked it because it use japanese words that I've never even heard of and it was great learning them but I really didn't understand the meaning of them so I would give it ** stars
I like how it looks and the story it tells and how Hiroshi didnt want to move to america and then skye and Hiroshi didnt like each other at first and then at the end they were friends that won the kite battle. I give it *** stars.
